Camera Angles
Definition: It marks the exact location at which a camera is placed to take a shot. A scene can be shot at several camera angles. The position of the camera can affect the person’s mood on the picture. If the angle is high, it makes whatever you’re taking a picture of look small and insignificant, while if it’s high, it makes the thing, or person look intimidating, or powerful.
For my two pictures, I chose a picture of a man dirt jumping, or off-road biking. The jumping shot is a lower camera angle, making him look very skilled and like a very influential figure in the biking career (in my opinion). The other shot was used to make you feel small, in my opinion, which is one of the purposes of a distance shot.

Collage Assignment
For my class, I had to make a collage of pictures the class went out and tookand turn them into a collage on photoshop. This is mine....mmhmm...it sucks, huh? Anyways....My theme was an urban idea with pictures from around the school. My idea was just to put pictures in a way that looked good, and I think I....sort of accomplished that...?

Album Covers for The Best Bands EVER!!!
The name of the first band is Into The Cold Darkness. When I clicked on the random wikipedia sites, it did take me a few tries. The first couple of topics I got I either didn't understand, or were way too long...like, 12-15 letter names...for ONE WORD! Anyways, I got off topic.... Into The Cold Darkness was actually the name of an album for a death metal band called Vital Remains. It was released in 1995. When I clicked to get the quote, again it took me several tries to get something that worked, but FINALLY after about two classes of quote and wiipedia surfing.... >.> ...... I got a quote with five fitting words " The Whole Form Is Compromised".
The Picture is of a...person....I can't really see what gender it is, but it's a person surrounded by darkness. Because of this, I thought it would be a fitting Death Metal album cover itself. The font I chose is very.....gothic looking, and I used the gradient overlay to make it look silver to go against the background. For the album name, I chose a dark red, almost blood red color and changed it to use Pin Light to make it darker, again, to give it that darker persona of the band.
The name of the second band is Meteorite Fall, which was, again, a random Wikipedia hit I got, but decided to roll with it. To me, Meteorite Fall sounded like some.... catosrtophic, apocalyptic rock music, like deathcore or metalcore....something along those lines. The name of the album is " The Elimination of Nonessentials", and with a picture of Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, the only thing that came to my mind was the The Big Bad Wolf ate L.R.R.H in the end in the story, so I thought maybe L.R.R.H was a nonessential to the wolf, and he only saw her as food....so he'd eliminate her.
For the band name, I did different things for each letter. For Meteorite, all I used was a red color to give the angry look of the band, Bevel and Emboss to make it look...interesting. Gave it texture, and a drop shadow to make it pop. For Fall, I skewed it to make it go along the slant of the roof. I also used Bevel and emboss to give it texture, as well as Satin to give it a darker shade of red.

Jamie Visits City Hall
Here's my second....ish assignment! So, for this one, what we were supposed to do was take a picture of a celebrity, or celebrities, and put it in a background that was incongruous. Basically, in a place they normally wouldn't be in. For this, I took a picture of Jamie Madrox (one on the left), a rapper from a group called Twiztid, and put him in a background of....come random city hall, I have no idea where it is. Jamie would never be in a place like this because...well, look at it! It's all...formal like, and there he is all covered in blood, crazy hair, and clown makeup. It just doesn't fit.
What I did for this assignment was I took the three picture you see....well, I started with the one of Jamie, and used the polygonal lasso to go around him. Then I moved him one picture to another and resized him. Then I took the picture of the lady and did the exact same thing, except with her, I had to use the eraser to touch up some of the white background that was left over.
Oh, and on a side note, I know I don't really need to do this, but this is some of Jamie's music

First and Second Attempt at the Obama assignment
Okay, so for our class, we were supposed to do an assignment on photoshop involving moving the president Barrack Obama and moving his picture to another background. It orginially started out as him in front of the state capital, but for this assignment, we had to move him to the Great Wall of China. So I did, and here are my attempts.
My first attempt is the one on the left, and the second is above. On the first, I had a few blue "haloes" around his shoulder, as you can clearly see, but in the second, they were not to be found.
On the first one, what I did to make this work out was I used the magnetic lasso tool, and selected Obama, and moved him onto the other picture of te Great Wall, and shrunk him down with the transform > Scale option.
On the second one, I did something different. What I did was I used Extract, and went around Obama to select him. When I did, I moved him over to the other to the Great Wall picture, and filled in anything I accidentally erased with the history brush, and used the eraser to get rid of the blue haloes, then shrunk him down to size to fit in the picture, and adjusted him to make it look good.
As far as percision and detail goes, I think they're pretty much the same. They were made to look the same, and they do, so I can't complain. i think they look the same (except for the blue haloes, of course) because as I said, they were made to look identical, so it isn't going to change. I found the magnetic lasso method more time consuming than the extract option, because with it, you have to go around it frequently, and you can easily lose control, whereas with the Extract, it's just as easy as going around an image in paint and fixing up the mistakes when you're done. I also think the extract tool is better for creating realistic images.
It does look pretty good....... Right?
